Staff Perspectives

“I truly love making a real difference with our patients and seeing them have fun with something meaningful and beneficial to everyday living. At Intermountain, we use sensory techniques to teach self-soothing and self-regulating skills instead of self-harm or harm to others. And in doing so, we help them acquire, develop and engage in positive coping skills when needed throughout their daily routine. We use expressive media and real life experiential modalities as a method to teach self expression and socialization. It’s satisfying to see them reach a point where they can make positive decisions in their lives. That’s why I really enjoy what I do at Intermountain. It’s the best job here.”
